𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄

July 2020

Record (12-14)

Top Hitter- Tommy Edman Edman continued his fabulous season. He also just produced the best month of it. The slick versatile player hit .320 (32/100), and .848 OPS. Edman has been the offensive MVP all year. The thing that has gone somewhat unnoticed is his ability to fill in all over the diamond. He's had to fill in for players that have been injured, and still hasn't let his play decline.

Top Pitcher- Jack Flaherty Jack continues to do Jack things. He's just a special talent. His July was key in helping the Cardinals stay afloat during a difficult month. He went 4-1 (2.54 ERA), 28.1 IP, 45K/6BB.

Team Overview- The Cardinals took a step back in July. The hitting still hasn't been able to provide enough of that winning edge. It's the lack of run production that has continued to plague this 2020 Cardinals team. Management has made some changes to the lineup in hopes to kick start that department for the second half.

GM Jonathan Ferguson Thoughts- "The guys are scraping. It was a real struggle to finish some games during the month. I know the calling out of one department has gotten repetitive. However, we just need our bats to step up. These guys have all the talent, it's just about doing it. I fully expect it to click before it's too late."
