3B Hanser Alberto will miss the rest of the Playoffs with a hamstring strain. His 5-week injury comes in the midst of some of the best baseball of his young career. He hit .429 in the NLDS.

"It's a huge blow to our offense. I really feel for Hanser. He works so hard and brings excellent energy to our ballclub. He definitely deserved better." said Mike Shildt.

The Cardinals announced that young infielder Zach McKinstry will be added to the roster for the NLCS. McKinstry was acquired in the trade involving Joc Pederson and David Price. "He's a fun player. The stage isn't too big for him. He'll be ready." continued Shildt.
