The Cardinals added what they hope to be the final piece to the 2020 roster. Jurickson Profar is coming to St. Louis for a pair of prospects. Jurickson who was traded to San Diego from Oakland last year just didn't ever find his place with the organization. The hope is for him to fill similar type roles as Tommy Edman and Hanser Alberto.

"We think Jurickson will bring a skill set that can adjust quickly to our roster. He's a switch hitter that can play every day if asked to do that." The Cardinals enter the All-Star break with a 54-43 record and a narrow division lead over the Cubs.
