The 15-4 victory left little doubt in the minds of most. It was the bats that struggled most of the regular season. Well, they've now caught fire. In the pivotal Game 6, the order went 15/40 (.375), 3 HR, 15 R, 14 RBI to pop the champagne. Starter Dakota Hudson was able to do enough to get deeper into the game. He went 5.1 innings only allowing 2 Earned runs. "This ball club is full of gamers. It's a great blend of youth, leaders, and pure talent. I'm beyond proud of how they just continue to be ultimate professionals. These guys just have each other back. It's been fun to watch." said Cards Manager Mike Shildt. The first-year General Manager Jonathan Ferguson uttered some of the same tones when we were able to get him out of the celebration. "Wooooooo, love these guys. All heart. That game 5 comeback was legendary. They then come back and leave no doubt." said the beer-soaked Ferguson Game 1: Cards 4, Mets 9 Game 2: Cards 7 Mets 6 (10) Game 3: Mets 11 Cards 2 Game 4 Mets 2 Cards 3 Game 5 Mets 8 Cards 9 Game 6 Cards 15 Mets 4
