Brandon Allen hired as new Cardinals Manager

The Cardinals have found their new manager. Brandon Allen has been hired to fill the role left by Mike Shildt after he assumed the Assistant GM position earlier this week.


Allen 37, has spent the last four seasons managing the Memphis Redbirds of the Pacific Coast League Brandon Allen to manage Cards (AAA). In his time with the organization he has put

together one impressive resume. He has compiled a record of 331-229 (.591), and reached the postseason all four years under his leadership, while winning a PCL Championship in 2022. This earned him Manager of the year for three straight seasons (20-22).


"This is the greatest day of my life. It's an absolute honor for this opportunity. I have put in so much work into the game of baseball. I look forward to getting to work with such a tremendous organization" said Allen.



Brandon Allen, a Texas native was drafted in the 5th round in the 2004 MLB Draft. He spent 5 years in the Major Leagues playing for the Diamond Backs, Athletics, and Rays.


The Cardinals General Manager Jonathan Ferguson says the new Cardinal skipper will have full reign to his coaching staff. "He can do what he needs to do in regards to his staff. This is his ball club."
