The magical title run was completed inside Fenway Park after the midnight hour. In an electric game 7, with the 37,247 Red Sox fans in a frenzy, the Cardinals were able to capture the World Series crown.
The Cardinals Manager Mike Shildt was able to offer a brief comment in the little time we got with him. "Rinse and Repeat. These guys just continued to do what made them great. They never got too high or too low. Honestly, it takes an incredibly resilient bunch to do what this group just did. They deserve to be recognized as the best in the world." said the Cards Manager.
Harrison Bader put his name on the baseball map with his play in this series. He was able to show that you can absolutely change games with just defense. Bader saved countless hits and crucial runs with both his arm & glove. He also was able to add some timely clutch hits to help win games. The casual baseball fan probably didn't know the ability of this young outfielder. After this series, he'll never have to buy a drink in St. Louis ever again.
