The prized reliever prospect is being called up to the major league team following the Paul DeJong heading to the 10-Day IL news. The right-hander has been electric in the minors to start his 2020 season. Fernandez combined for a 0.91 in 27 innings in both (AA) Springfield and (AAA) Memphis. It's not known how long the young arm will remain on the club, but it won't be because of talent.

"The kid brings it. We love his makeup. He isn't afraid of anyone. We're going to play it by ear and see if he can find his role." said Manager Mike Shildt.
