Steve Sanderson and Carlos Beltran join Staff (FTD, St. Louis)

The Cardinals announced the hiring of both Steve Sanderson and Carlos Beltran to the organization. Steve Sanders was hired to oversee the the Scouting Department. "Steve is one of the sharpest young minds Sanderson (36) Scouting Director

in the game. We were looking to reshape certain specifics

within our organization. The meetings we had were exceptionally transparent. It was a good fit for all parties" said GM Jonathan Ferguson. Robert Flores was let go from the final year of his contract. "We thank Robert for all his hard work. It's nothing personal, it was just time to try something different" continued Ferguson.

The terms of the deal sit around 5 years at $1.8 million dollars per season. "I truly think this shows both the level of excitement and commitment to Steve. His abilities are some of the best around" said the Bill DeWitt Jr (Cardinals Owner).

In the final move of the staff the Cardinals announced the hiring of Carlos Beltran. He will serve as the new Bench Coach to new Manager Brandon Allen. It's a move that was endorsed by the new skipper. "He's a guy that I wanted by my side. His knowledge of the game both on and off the field are incredible. I really don't have to sell anyone on this move. Carlos is still loved around here. The guy is all a professional in everything he does. Hell, the dude has a shot at the Hall of Fame here soon" said Allen.

The Cardinals terminated the contract of Oliver Marmol who was on the last year of his contract. These look to be the last moves to the overhauled front office and coaching staff after the team missed the playoffs for the second time in three years.
