Record (12-16)
Top Hitter- LF Tommy Edman

Edman was once again the top hitter of the month for the Cardinals. The average wasn't the best only hitting .287 (33/115), but the power was substantial. For the month he drove in a team high 5 Home runs and 18 RBI's. Edman for the most part led each offensive category for May.
Top Pitcher- SP Jack Flaherty

Jack got back to being Jack after abnormal first month. The reigning Cy Young winner put together 3-0 (2.08 ERA) in 39 innings. He was able to get his HR allowed number back down to a solid 0.7 mark.
Team Overview-
May was a difficult month on and off the field. The injury bug hit the team hard losing many key players. Those included Outfielder Dylan Carlson and pitchers Giovanny Gallegos, Ryan Helsley, Alex Reyes, and David Price. These injuries really hurt the product on the field. St. Louis management did their best to piece it together on the fly. However, the wins just didn't come at the desired rate.
GM Jonathan Ferguson Thoughts-
"The month of May was brutal if I'm being honest. We lost a bunch of key guys and it hurt badly. It's a blessing some weren't long-term. Those arm injuries to both Reyes and Price will take a toll on our team. Those guys were key pieces to our title run a year ago. It'll be interesting to see how our club responds after a bunch of difficult adversity."
