(Pitcher Sean Poppen)
St. Louis claimed Pitcher Sean Poppen (26) off waivers from the Cincinnatti Reds. Poppen was drafted in the 19th round by the Minnesota Twins. He then was traded to the Reds for Closer Aneurys Zabala.
They also purchased Outfielder Christian Johnson (19) from the Road Warriors of the Atlantic League. Johnson is a former 19th Round Draft pick of the Tampa Bay Rays.
